Wildfire Action Hubs

These are multi-partner, cross jurisdictional groups that gather to discuss and take action on wildfire-related next-steps in specific geographies, sectors, or for the carrying out of wildfire preparedness plan action items.

As a key component of our Wildfire Resilient Landscapes Program, HWMO supports and participates in several coordinating groups and wildfire action hubs around the state.

These groups include:

  • Big Island Wildfire Coordinating Group

  • Oahu Wildfire Coordinating Group, Wai’anae Wildfire Hui, North Shore Wildfire Mitigation Group

  • Kauai Wildfire Stakeholder Collaboration Group (formerly known as Kauai Brushfire Meeting)

  • Maui County Fire Task Forces (Molokaʻi, South Maui, West Maui, Leeward Haleakala)

  • Cross-County Wildfire Prevention & Mitigation Council
